Small changes are sometimes meaningful.

I gave my website an actual front page instead of just a blog feed. While in some ways this is less usable (an added click for most people), I was thinking about how people were making their spaces on neocities and how I regretted not being able to put peoples 66x31 icons on front page.

There is something more personable about a front page. I put a little latest article thing there for convenience, but a front page is like saying "I'm a person" That my website isn't a list of content you scroll down down, but a place where you can decide where to go.

Yeah, 90% of the time it's gonna be the blog, but I feel like it makes a big different to the vibe. If a website is gonna be a home, it's gotta be cozy.
